COMPANY BACKGROUND AND HISTORY

Founded by Jim and Robin Ford in March 2002, Ford Contract Services, Inc. provides over 100 years of combined experience in the corrosion protection application industry.  FCS employs skilled surface prep technicians, rubber lining technicians, coatings applicators, along with NACE certified inspectors.


Ford Contract Services, Inc. Production facility located in Livingston, Texas west of Hwy 59 North. 


QUALITY SERVICE FOR OUR CUSTOMERS

Specializing in the application of industrial corrosion protection, FCS provides exceptional quality and service.  With the experience in the application of American and German manufactured rubber linings and industrial, the coatings are used in a variety of different applications and have proven successful corrosion protection in, but not limited to, water treating and storage vessels, steel and concrete structures, tank trailers, offshore taper stress joints, pipe, valves and also in FGD plants. 

FCS provides complete lining removal via hand removal or hydro-blasting and reapplication of rubber linings or spray coatings both in our shop facility and at customer jobsite. 

AUTOCLAVES:

15' dia x 55' long autoclave is designed for pressure vulcanizing of large rubber lined vessels and equipment.

6' dia x 110' long autoclave provides steam curing capabilities for any type of rubber.  Cures can be done under pressure from 0 to 150 psi.  This particular autoclave can accomodate cures for multiple piping and stress joints up to 100' in length.

Both FCS shop personnel and field crews provide diagnostic mobilization for jobsite inspection, repair and application of rubber lining, industrial spray coatings as well as shop installation of linings and hig-baked phenolic coatings in:

  • Cargo tanks or cargo tank motor vehicles.  (DOT registered and certified)
  • Water treatment and storage tanks.
  • Pickling tanks and lines for metal processing industries 
  • Surface preparation and treatment with Chlor-Rid metal decontaminate.
  • Flue gas desulfurization (FGD) plants (i.e. scrubbers, piping, agitators and process vessels).
  • Titanium Stress Joints

Service is available to our customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.  For our customer's convenience, FCS can perform our work at customer facility or FCS shop facility.

FCS assists in the design stages for compatibility and suitability of linings and coatings.  At Ford Contract Services, you can depend on expert advice and quality performance in selecting the most appropriate protective coating for your application.

FCS' Quality Control Program provides our customer with professional Q.C. procedures and documentation to satisfy customer specifications.

FCS' Safety Program incorporates educational training and monitoring procedures to teach safety, identify and correct safety deficiencies and provide a safe work place for its employees.  FCS Safety Program has been established to enhance the safety of our employees as well as the safety and integrity of FCS and their customers.

Ford Contract Services is a member of the Better Business Bureau, a Corporate Member of NACE and an Associate Member of NTTC, National Tank Truck Carriers.

Ford Contract Services is also a member of the following safety councils in the Gulf Coast region:

Houston Area Safety Council, Contractor's Safety Council of the Texas Mid-Coast, and Industrial Safety Training Council.

The newest addition to our Production facility is our Blast and Paint Room which is 60' wide x 100' long, which will accommodate any size tank for blasting and painting for interior linings installation and exterior coatings application.
